Privacy Policy
Transparent. Short. To the point.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Julien Hoffmann (ProNetwork Media)
Rathausplatz 5, 21365 Adendorf, Germany
Phone: +49 4131 2847474
Email: kontakt@pronetwork-media.de
2. Hosting (Vercel)
This website is hosted by:
When you access the website, technical access data (IP address, browser type, operating system, referrer, timestamp) is transmitted to Vercel and processed in server logs. This is technically necessary for delivering the page and protecting against attacks.
Data transfer to the USA: A data processing agreement (Data Processing Addendum) including EU standard contractual clauses is in place with Vercel. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure operation of the website).
Copy of the safeguards: This applies to every third-country transfer named in this policy (standard contractual clauses, Data Privacy Framework). You can obtain a copy of the respective safeguards from me at any time. An informal email to kontakt@pronetwork-media.de is enough.
3. Server log files
When the website is accessed, the hosting provider automatically records the following data:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources. The data is automatically deleted after a short period, unless it is needed to investigate a specific attack.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website).
4. Contact form, email, phone, WhatsApp
When you contact me via the contact form, by email or by phone, your details (name, email, phone if provided, project type, website if provided, preferred appointment if provided, message) are stored to handle your request and used only for that purpose.
Which details are required: Name, email address, project type and message are required in the contact form. Without them I cannot process your request, and the form cannot be submitted. Phone number, website and preferred appointment are voluntary; leaving them out has no consequences. You are neither contractually nor legally obliged to provide any of these details.
Sending the form emails: The technical delivery of emails from the contact form is handled by:
Resend, Inc.
2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA
Privacy: resend.com/legal/privacy-policy
A data processing agreement is in place with Resend. Only the data entered in the form is processed, for the purpose of email delivery. Any transfer to the USA takes place on the basis of EU standard contractual clauses.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (performance of pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in efficient handling).
Storage period: Requests are kept for as long as is necessary to handle them. They are deleted after 3 years at the latest, unless legal retention obligations require otherwise.
WhatsApp: On this website (footer, contact dialogue, confirmation email) I link to a WhatsApp chat. If you use that link, the conversation takes place via the WhatsApp service of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland. In doing so, Meta processes your phone number and the metadata of the conversation; a transfer to servers in the USA and other third countries cannot be ruled out. I have no influence on that processing. The message contents you send me are processed by me solely to handle your request.
Meta privacy policy for WhatsApp: whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy-eea. If you would rather not use WhatsApp, please use email, the contact form or the phone.
Legal basis (WhatsApp): Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (performance of pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in a fast, low-threshold contact channel). You choose this channel yourself by using the link.
5. AI assistant (Neo)
This website offers an AI assistant (“Neo”) you can chat with. The text you enter in the chat is processed to answer your questions. If you decide to send an inquiry to Julien via the assistant, your contact details (name, email, phone if provided, project type, message) together with the conversation transcript are processed in order to prepare and summarise your inquiry.
The AI processing is provided by:
Anthropic PBC
548 Market Street, PMB 90375, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA
Privacy: anthropic.com/legal/privacy
A data processing agreement including EU standard contractual clauses (SCCs) is in place with Anthropic; the transfer to the USA takes place on this basis. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, the data is not used to train AI models and is stored only briefly for abuse and safety purposes.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in providing a helpful assistant); when you send an inquiry, additionally Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR (consent, given by clicking “send”) and Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (pre-contractual measures).
Storage period: The conversation exists only in your browser during your visit and is not stored permanently by me. Inquiries you actively send are handled like a contact request (see section 4).
6. Abuse protection (rate limiting)
To protect the contact form and the AI assistant against misuse and excessive cost, the number of requests per IP address is limited and conspicuous IP addresses are blocked for a short time. For this purpose your IP address is stored briefly.
This is handled by:
Upstash, Inc.
Data stored in the EU (AWS region Frankfurt, eu-central-1)
Privacy: upstash.com/trust/privacy.pdf
A data processing agreement is in place with Upstash. The IP data is stored exclusively in the EU (Frankfurt), so there is no transfer to a third country for this purpose. Storage is short-term only (per-minute and per-day counters; an abuse flag for a maximum of 10 minutes).
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure, abuse-free operation of the website).
7. Cookies and consent
This website only sets non-essential cookies or loads external tracking scripts if you have explicitly consented via the cookie banner (§ 25 (1) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR).
Technically necessary storage is permitted without consent under § 25 (2) TDDDG. On this website that is:
cookie-consent(localStorage): your cookie choice itself, so the banner does not ask again on every visit. Stored until you delete the site data.theme(localStorage): your light/dark mode setting. Stored until you delete the site data.NEXT_LOCALE(cookie): the language you selected via the language switcher or the language notice, so you are not asked again. Lifetime 1 year.
Categories in the cookie banner
Necessary: Theme, language and consent storage in the browser. Always active.
Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (only with consent).
You can withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” button in the footer of this website — this reopens the banner and lets you change your choice. Alternatively you can delete the local storage (“site data”) for this domain in your browser; the banner will then reappear on your next visit.
8. Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics 4 is only loaded after your explicit consent in the cookie banner. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Analytics sets cookies and transmits usage data (e.g. pages visited, time spent, browser type, shortened IP address) to Google. IP anonymisation is active; data may also be transferred to servers in the USA.
Measurement ID & configuration
G-31KBFPWZB8, with IP anonymisation enabled, without Google signals, without personalisation signals. The data sharing settings in the Google Analytics account are disabled, so Google does not use the collected data beyond this for its own purposes.
Cookie lifetime: The cookies _ga and _ga_<measurement ID> have a lifetime of 2 years in your browser.
Data retention in GA4: Separately from the cookie lifetime, the following is configured in the GA4 property: event data is deleted after 2 months, user-level data after 14 months. For the user-level data the option “Reset on new activity” is enabled, so the 14-month period starts again on every new visit.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG (consent). Withdrawal possible at any time via the cookie banner.
Google privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
9. Fonts
The fonts used (Inter, Instrument Sans, JetBrains Mono) are served locally from this website’s server (self-hosted via next/font). No connection is made to Google Fonts servers.
10. Your rights
You have the right at any time to:
- Access to your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of incorrect data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Withdrawal of consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
Please send requests informally to kontakt@pronetwork-media.de.
Your right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing of your personal data that is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest). On this website that concerns hosting and server logs (sections 2 and 3), the handling of your requests (section 4), the AI assistant (section 5) and abuse protection (section 6).
If you object, I will no longer process the data concerned unless I can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. An informal email to kontakt@pronetwork-media.de is enough.
11. Right to lodge a complaint
In the event of breaches of the GDPR, you can lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority:
The State Commissioner for Data Protection Lower Saxony
Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover
Phone: +49 511 120-4500
Email: poststelle@lfd.niedersachsen.de
Web: lfd.niedersachsen.de
12. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons this site uses TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” in your browser’s address bar.
